This course aims to demystify turbulence models, to give an overview of the methods commonly used in industrial codes and to indicate the most active research directions that will constitute the standards of tomorrow. This course does not aim to teach the practical use of CFD codes, but gives all the keys to understand what the codes contain and to use them in an informed way. The knowledge of the methodology of development of turbulence models makes it possible to understand the assumptions on which they are based, what their range of application and their limitations are, and thus to use them in a relevant way.
