Project linked to turbulence

The subjects are each year new and offered by Pprime senior scientists. Each student has its own project. 25 slots of 4 hours are dedicated to that work, under supervision of the one who offers the project. It could be a theoretical approach, operation of an experimental apparatus, numerical or experimental data processing, develop a specific section of a simulation tool, etc. The following subjects were among those offered:

2022:

• Simulation and modeling of turbulent heat transfer in natural convection

• Pressure evaluation from PIV measurements for free surface flows

• Three Dimensional Turbomachinery Optimization for an innovative Drone TurboPropulsor

2021:

• Accurate flow velocity measurements in turbulent stagnating flows

• Modelling and Control of near wall Turbulence: from physical understanding to Machine Learning approaches

• Passive mixing of a tracer in a flow
