(28h, 2 ECTS) F. Margnat and V. Valeau

After successful examination of that lecture, the student will be able to perform assigned tasks involving aeraocoustics in the framework of a research project, or be positive taking part in a project with aeroacoustics in other tasks than his/hers. This includes defining and connecting the main concepts of aeroacoustics (Acoustics wave motion, sources of sound, Green’s functions, principles of most standard CAA approaches, Aeroacoustic analogies…), tell the origin and meaning of the most classical equations (Euler Equations and their linearised form, Kirchhoff’s integral formula, Lighthill’s equation, Derive Curle’s solution from FWH’s…) and commenting aeroacoustics literature excerpts (summarize a text, discuss a chart). Labs sessions are offered for manipulation of aeroacoustic wind tunnel data.
